E flute

Thin and frequent groove structure.

E wave can be used to create a more compact packaging with its thin corrugated structure. In printed product boxes, the surface appearance and the area covered by the box are considered together.

Where is it evaluated?

Small product boxes, retail displays and product-matched food packaging.

What is corrugated cardboard?

Corrugated cardboard is formed by combining wave-shaped paper with sheets of flat paper. The wavy layer in between is called corrugation, and the flat papers on the surfaces are called liner. Box structure, papers used and groove profile are evaluated together.

Difference between single groove and double groove

E, B and C wave are single groove structures: one layer of grooves is located between two sheets of plain paper. Double-corrugated structures such as BE and BC have two flute layers and three plain paper layers. When the term “layer” is used, the number of grooves and the total number of paper layers must be separated.

Which wave suits your product?

When choosing, consider the product's size and full package weight, fragile or protruding parts, how the box will be stacked in the warehouse, and shipping conditions. The printing method, internal support, spacer and filler need are also part of the packaging design.

The wave name alone does not indicate the carrying capacity or the exact thickness. Conclusion; It depends on paper type and weight, box form, size, humidity and usage conditions. Product suitability is evaluated with samples and tests when necessary.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between E wave and B wave?

E wave has a thinner and denser groove profile. The B wave forms a higher trough. The selection is made not only according to the thickness, but also according to the entire structure of the packaging and the need for use.

Are BE wave and BC wave the same?

Both are double grooved. BE, B and E waves; BC brings B and C waves together. Therefore, the layer profiles are different.

Does a thicker box always protect better?

Thickness alone is not enough. Paper composition, box design, product fixation and transportation conditions must be considered together.
